Why the Dining Table Will Always Be Important...

According to the telegraph an online poll of 500 people admitted to eating only a “few times a year”, with 3% of respondents not even owning a dining table. Do you sit down around a table as a family at meal times? Even with the hectic 24/7 lifestyle that most of us lead, Covid has shown us if nothing else that family is really important. So in a world where you can now shop 7 days a week and work 5 and sometimes 6 days a week, you have to make time to sit down as a family around the dining table.

Did You Know We Make Better Food Choices When Sitting At The Table?

Whilst neccesity means that we sometimes find ourselves eating a quick meal or on the go, did you realise it can leave us ‘vulnerable’ to making unhealthy food choices? Nutritional Therapists have found that people are more likely to eat nutritionally balanced food when sitting at the dining table as it provides a focal point helping us pay more attention to what, when and how we eat.

Relax And Unwind

It makes logical sense that regularly sitting around the table can allow us time within a busy day to unwind and relax can easily start with sitting around the table, having a meal and discussing things other than work. With many of us still working from home for at least a portion of the week making a definative time to sit around and unwind.
